Chocolate Recs!
Attention all chocoholics, of both the Lost and Pirates of the Caribbean persuasion! I am about to offer up recommendations for two of the best chocolate bars in the whole entire 'verse, and I hope you will pay attention. I mean, really, have I ever steered you wrong?
Both are by Vosges, who makes several different, and delicious, varieties, but these two are absolute heaven.
My 2nd favorite is the BLACK PEARL BAR: Japanese ginger, wasabi, black sesame seeds and dark chocolate, 55% cocao. Melt in your mouth goodness, with a wisp of warmth and the delicate bite of ginger.
All time favorite is the RED FIRE BAR: Mexican ancho and chipotle chili peppers, Ceylon cinnamon and dark chocolate, 55% cocao. No matter what you may think from the peppery description, this is the most sublime of all chocolate bars, dissolving on your tongue and leaving a hint of the subtly blended heat of chilis and cinnamon. Orgasmic!
I get these bars at our local "Liquor Barn", which has every alcoholic beverage and exotic coffee, tea and snack food known to man. Discovered they have a website, which I will share here, although the 3.3oz bars at the store are about 2/3's of the cost of those at the website.
