Going offline in... one... day.
We've decided to kick dialup to the curb and go with some kind of cable/DSL/ADSL/ADSL2/Broadband kind of connection.
Our ISP contract terminates tomorrow (on the 19th). And we won't have the new service connected until sometime after my sister moves out (the computer and office is going into her room) and probably not until the new year (I'm assuming that there will be Christmas related delays for installation).
So I'm gonna be offline. For an undetermined time.
And while we are looking into some kind of temporary "trial period" type of dialup, there's no guarantee that I'll find one in time. Although if anyone has one of those "x months free internet" promo offers, please let me know.
The upside of this is that I won't be distracted for hours on end by the wonders of the interweb.
The downside is that I'll be out of touch, I'll miss everyone terribly, I'll be waaay behind in the news/gossip, and my travel blogs for the rest of my trip (Browncoat Ball to arriving back in Oz) will be delayed (sure, "what's new there" I can hear you say).
