This looked interesting, and frankly I need a break from RL for a bit, so...

Zeus: What is your favourite kind of weather? Cloudy -- I love to watch shapes in clouds -- cool -- think October -- and with just enough of a breeze to feel good.

Hera: What is the last book you read? "Age of Opportunity: A Biblical guide to parenting teens". Don't agree with all of it, but it was informative and some of the things I've implemented with my teenager have really worked.

Poseidon: Where is your favorite place to go on a weekday afternoon when you have no plans or obligations? That sounds to me like the prime ingredients for a road trip. I love to call one of my girlfriends in the Posse (when did I get a social life??) and take off to Amish country or helping them with errands or just for a walk. Or go with my husband on a birdwatching trip. He loves to birdwatch, I love to spend time with him.

Demeter: Are you spiritual or religious in any way? If so, how? I am a Christian and I see the world through that lens. I believe what the Bible says is the truth. As for what the Bible lists as sin that society says is not? That, to me, is between a person and God.

Athena: Would you rather be anxious and intelligent or carefree and simple? Anxious and intelligent, though at this point in time, dealing with the issues I am, there are moments when carefree and simple sounds very very tempting.

Apollo: Name the last song you listened to? Hold On by Santana

Artemis: Do you believe it is vital to everyday life to know what is happening in the world around you? No, but it is important to know. If I can't help practically, I can pray. And usually when I pray, there comes an opportunity to be able to help practically.

Ares: Do you still remember arguments or upsets from over 5 years ago? Do they still bother you today? Yes, most of which are caused by my own stupidity and failure to see the other's point of view or failure to control my stupid mouth.

Aphrodite: What did you love most about the place you grew up? What about it did you love the least? The most has to be the scenery, hands down. I grew up on 100-plus acres of mostly woodland on the literal side of a mountain very close to a spectacular waterfall with a very special secret: a literal rainbow when the full moon shines. To this day, woods and mountains and beaches and the sound and feel of water calm me like nothing else. Least? That had to be the people. I grew up in the poorest county in Kentucky with people who could care less whether or not they had an education. For someone who is -- bluntly -- addicted to learning things, that was a special kind of Hell. They were also fiercely proud of their mountain ways and heritage (as am I), but they were mean and cruel to anyone who was any bit different (as I am). Fortunately, nobody in my small immediate family was that way and I had a safe space and an oasis of safety and love and education. Also fortunately, I no longer have to deal with these people on a daily basis.

Hephaestus: Do you have a favorite/most interesting Wikipedia page? No, I am just thankful it exists.

Hermes: What's the best nickname you've ever been called? & what's the worst? My best is a shortened version of my given name. My husband and closest friends call me En. Worst would have to be "granola" or "ebola".

Hestia: What is the weirdest scar you have and how did you get it? I have what look like two gigantic port-wine birthmarks on either of my forearms. They are scars from a bout of sun poisoning. I also have large round scars on either knee, a little larger than a two-litre bottlecap. I went to a Christian version of Woodstock called Ichthus and fell to the ground when my boyfriend decided I was too slow getting out of the car and shoved me. I knew I was cut, but I didn't know I was hurt badly until the blood seeped through my pants. My boyfriend refused to leave the festival, and the couple we came with took me to the hospital. I carry the scars to remind me of that night. And I have a tiny jagged scar on my thumb where a pair of scissors slipped while I was trying to cut open an aluminum can. There are also two tiny round scars, one on the bottom of my foot and one on the tip of my nose, from chicken pox when I was 15. The rest are from operations.

Dionysus: If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich? Oooh, I can't pick just one. I love office work, I love organisation and decorating jobs, I love creative jobs, I love writing, I love traveling, I love overall helping.

Hades: If you could find out the date of your death, would you want to know? No, because I would be counting down and fretting like crazy.

Heracles: What has been your biggest challenge in life so far? Parenthood.

Persephone: What one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back? TRAVEL. Lack of money, lack of passport, and a general deep-seated dislike of airplanes.

Asclepius: What you ever lied about being ill to avoid school or work? If so, how elaborate have your stories been? No, I don't think I have. There's too many times I genuinely AM ill to lie about it.

Eros: How did you meet your best friend? I was sitting in a meeting at the Basin (our college's student union) and he walked in. Then we met at a blood drive and snarked at each other over apple juice. Then we went and roadied at a Harvest concert and came out of that one a couple. We've been together ever since. Another one I corresponded with a while on a Monkees mailing list, then I met her in the parking lot of a Spaghetti Warehouse and we had a meal together before attending a Monkees concert together. Her now-roommate and another of my best friends I met on the sidewalk after that concert. The two best friends I have yet to meet in person we met the same way -- bonding over SPN stories and eventually becoming collabouraters and RL co-authors (in one case) and mistresses of a just-between-us epic AU RP (in the other.) One of the reasons I want to travel so badly is to meet these two fantastic ladies in person. And as for the Posse -- well, we're just a bunch of wild and crazy church ladies who laugh and craft and teach and co-parent and just generally have a fantastic time.
