Body: Low grade aches, but nothing particularly bad.
Book Review: I finished
The Great Influenza. I strongly recommend it to everybody who is at all interested in 20th century history.
Reading: I went straight to sleep after finishing The Great Influenza without starting anything new.
Hearing:
All About Books, my backlog of The Associated Press on Broadway for which I cannot find a website, the
Lake Woebegon monologues from A Prairie Home Companion.
Etsy find:
Knotwork Heart Pendant Project Follow-up: I found some red diamond shaped beads at the store in Saratoga, but not clubs or spades. I've declared that enough. I also decided that my raspberry cordial had aged enough and tried it. It's a little strong, but pretty good. Much more raspberry candy than fresh berries though.
Tonight's Project: I'm going to run up to Michaels and buy another big canning jar, and then start a strawberry cordial. Once that one is started I think I'm going to wait a while before I start any more. Given how little Tom & I drink (except for wine, lately), I have several months supply either finished or in progress.
Randomness: I spent several hours yesterday poking around the
Wold Newton Universe website. It's based on an idea that Philip Jose Farmer sketched out in a couple of books, and is an amazingly interesting timesink. Among other things, it explains how Tarzan and Doc Savage are related to each other, as well as to every other great pulp fiction character out there.
