I really want to share more about my vacation, but I have a car that still needs some unpacking and an application for $ that is nearing towards overdue that I need to write an essay for.  So that will have to wait*.  Instead, you get ( a long-winded introspection about my job, in the hopes that getting this out will help me write the application essay I need to write. )

You know, my homework wouldn't take me forever to do if I wouldn't go out of my way to make it more interesting.

But then, if I chose easy and banal over interesting and hard, it would feel like it was taking forever to do.
