Note: We understand that plenty of other great albums came out last year. Unfortunately for us, we could not get ahold of every single one, including some we greatly wanted to hear. Animal Liberation Orchestra, John Frusciante, Van Hunt, the Helio Sequence, and many others are on this list. If your favorites weren't picked, we either didn't have room for them, didn't hear them, or you have horrible taste in music. "Best of" compilations, live albums, and non-music recordings were barred as well. So keep it real, as we anxiously await new albums from Mike Doughty, Jack Johnson, the Roots, and more in 2005.
