I had a post written out, but upon reading it over I realized I sounded a bit selfish/whiney in it so I deleted it. Long story short: As a socially challenged person, I assumed it would be ok to miss my sister's bridal shower to attend Polaris. Mentioning just the idea of me missing it, not even what for, caused my mother to flip out. So yes, even though my sister was fine with the idea, there are 8 other bridesmaids who could hold down the fort, and personally finding it to just be another silly event in the grand scheme of the wedding circus, it was not a good idea by me. I also feel bad for all the complaining I've done about the financial strain of being a bridesmaid and the fugly dress I have to wear. It's my only sister's wedding, and even if we aren't close, I should play nice and stop being such a negative nancy pain in the ass.
Now I've gone and turned my entry into a growth session~
(And now I'm thinking about trying to get to Gallifrey One... It's not til February, so I have some time to save up :P)
In other news, Tanev, RIT's arguably best defenseman now that Ringwald's graduated, has been signed by the Canucks(only after his Freshman year, too!). I'm happy for him(kid is making bank on the deal), but I am sad to see him go. Hopefully the major loss in D from graduates and this signing won't effect RIT too negatively.
Now to watch an episode of Golden Girls in honor of Rue McClanahan. RIP ♥
