Day 06 - Your favourite writer
V.C. Andrews. She wrote a marvelous series starting with the book 'Flowers in the Attic' that turned me on to 1-Angst, 2-Her writing, 3-Adult-ish books. I think I was in 6th grade. She has several really, really good series. She really seems to capture the emotion driving her characters, which is a characteristic that I really and truly love in an author. A lot of her characters come from really bad situations at home, and seek to escape what is tormenting them...a lot of orphans, a lot of mystery, a lot of twists. 'And now I think I'm going to re-read Flowers in the Attic'. :)
