I'm not watching TV - I'm studying pop-culture and philosophy

It may be said that we watch too much television. I even say that we watch too much television. But, you know what, it all depends on HOW you watch television and the type of television that you watch. Inevitably, it comes down to what you get out of it and how you can learn and apply seemingly meaningless things to something meaningful. This epiphany comes from a reponse that I was searching for the words to write about 19th Century landscape art and how dealing with a particular theme (that of the apocalyptic landscape and thematic usage of the "last man standing") I managed to tie it into horror and science fiction films. Now I just need to finish writing it. Too bad my brain is all soupy today.
It may look like I am watching alot of TV, but really I am just studying contemporary culture and philosophy.

tv, philosophy
