1. When John F. Kennedy was shot (11/22/1963)

Not yet born into my current manifestation.

2. When Mt. St. Helens blew (5/18/1980)
I was 5 I remember it cause my mom was pregnant with my brother.

3. When the space shuttle Challenger exploded (1/28/1986)
In the 5th grade. My teacher Ms. Kennedy came in and told us that the space shuttle just blew up. Consequently it was the first time I exclaimed "oh shit" in class.

4. When the 7.1 earthquake hit San Francisco (10/7/1989)
Watching the world series game because my brother was a big Oakland A's fan. I think my dad might have been in LA on business.

5. When the Berlin Wall fell (11/7/1989)
I was a freshmen in highschool. I remember eventhough not knowing the full extent of what it stood for, but knowing that it was a monumental experience. I get chills everytime I see film footage of it now.

6. When the Gulf War began (1/16/1991)
Sophmore in HS. I was scared that we were going to get nuked and then soonafter grew annoyed with the faux patriotism where everyone had yellow ribbons and flags coming out the wazoo.

7. When OJ Simpson was chased in his White Bronco (6/17/1994)
summer between freshmen and sophmore year of college. lost interest after he didnt pull a bud dwyer.

8. When the building in Oklahoma City was bombed (4/19/1995)
still a sophmore in college.

9. When Princess Di was killed (8/31/1997)
not in college but on the way home from work at Lehigh Valley Hospital. My dad told me that she was in a bad accident. i watched the whole funeral thing.

10. When Bush was first announced President (11/7/2000)
somewhere in roxborough shouting MOTHERFUCKER WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY

11. When the 6.8 earthquake hit Nisqually, WA (2/28/2001)
I actually do remember this because we have an office in seattle. They were all ok.

12. When terrorists knocked over the World Trade Center (9/11/2001)
Either in the car or sitting in my painting class at moore. see posts recounting the rest of the day. my company lost almost 400 people. I'll never forget it.
