Went and saw Repo! The Genetic Opera in Atlanta last night with the Terminusteam crowd. There is something weird about someone coming up to you saying how they had tried to respect 'your culture' when doing something.
'Someone' being Darren Bousman, the movie's director. I felt a little like some kind of bizarre oppressed, goggle-clad minority. But he signed my ticket stub, and took pictures to put on the movie website. I really enjoyed the movie for the pretty visuals, Tony Head's voice, and the virally catchy musical numbers. It was pretty gory (what do you expect form the guy who did all the Saw sequels?) with just enough subtle social commentary. Good time was had by all.
Even if we almost wound up in Alabama at 2 AM trying to get home, and we suspect the Cokes we got from McDonalds had rum in them:)
