Science for Breakfast!

May 09, 2007 07:52

acerate has been teasing me about my noxious breakfast habits this week, so I'm sharing so the rest of you can, as well. She read a study about how women who eat two eggs for breakfast have a better chance of maintaining a healthy weight than women who do not eat two eggs. Or something. Since neither of us get enough protein in the AM (I'm a toast personw hen I'm a breakfast person at all; I have no idea the kind of stuff she eats), we both agree this is at least a good idea. We both buy a dozen eggs and hard-boil them, since we are both busy ladies with jobs and have no time to fuss with cooking eggs every day. What do you think this is, the 50s?

I, of course, can't be satisfied with just eating eggs for breakfast, apparantly. Since I also brought home a carton of strawberries and one of those enormous two pound cartons of vanilla yogurt. One would think eating a little of that combination with a cup of coffee in the morning would make me fart a hell of a lot more than it actually does. I had to share:)

Kyra let me practice driving her car yesterday in anticipation of using it to take my drive test this month. With her and her two year old son in the back seat. She had great faith in my ability :D. Although I am a pretty good driver; I rock backing around corners and didn't take much to grasp parallel parking and stuff. It inspired me with more confidence to actually...get my license and become more mobile.

My birth certificate is waiting at the post office for me. I made them send it certified because I didn't want to pay $20 for some USPS worker to lose it in the mail. I still want to get a copy of the name change I filed with the King County Courthouse when I was 18, but having one name on the birth cert. and one on my ID should be proof enough for now. I can now go to social security tomorrow and get my replacement card. Which is free. The Vital records office are jerkbags. Also, when I have $100 to put in check form, I can apply for a passport. Like I can go to the passport office next payday if I want. I will probably wait a little in favor of paying for school, but the thought that I'm only limited by my budget is a little dizzying. I want that Angry Chicken in my hand. I want it very badly.

I'm going out to Seattle on Sunday to spend time with my mother. I have also been invited to go out to the George and Dragon with helios292 and the Goons for a regimen against the malarial fever. Darrin and Toni are paying me $20 to keep an ear on their children (age 10 and 8) on Saturday night while they go to their vampire LARP. So I am essentially babysitting for booze money.

Hawt.
