Pretty eventful week.

Reordered my W-2 from JoAnn so I can finally do my taxes, so that I can do my FAFSA so that I can be back in school full-time by fall. Applied for admissions for summer and was accepted. Have approximately 1/4 of my tuition saved if nothing catastrophic happens. Have fallback plans if something does.

In a little heart-to-heart talk with 21-year-old Bonnie at work on Wednesday, I told her that if she was failing more classes than she was passing at school, that she should try dropping out and doing something else until her head was in the right place to be a college student. Do people think this was good advice? Of course, I think I mentioned that she should go dig toilets in Central America for a year or so while she figures out what she wants to do with her life. Pass the organic granola.

Reordered my birth certificate from Pierce County vital records so I can get a) my Social Security Card again and b)a passport. Has anyone else noticed that these are a lot of crucial documents I've managed to lose? I also bought one of those fireproof security lock boxes. To keep this stuff in.

Got an REI membership, so I went down and bought a Nalgene water bottle and looked at hiking books and clinics. Made plans to go to one in Seattle on May 31, so if anyone wants to come and learn about Outdoor Skills with me, it's free. I know I've already roped helios292 into it.

My Tremendous Hippy metamorophosis this year was also helped on its way when I bought a pair of Betula sandals, since I need summer shoes and comfy shoes for work. For those who don't know, Betula was founded by the son of the guy who founded Birkenstock. So they're like Birkenstocks in every way, except they're cuter....okay, wait.

Screw you guys, I like my ugly Seattle shoes.

I now cannot live without this day planner. It's become very helpful for keeping track of the ten thousand things I've got to keep track of from a day to day basis, and I can write reminders to myself on later pages. I'm still...about as broke on a weekly basis as I was, but now I have less crap that I've bought, and more things like replacement birth certificates and much needed new comfy shoes.

Time to go get some Coffeedrug. More later.
