mmmmm... COFFEE MILK
Yeah. So, I subbed in 5th grade today, and the kids were doing state reports. I always enjoy when the kids are doing these, and search for the student who is doing RI. The girl that was doing RI was one of the better kids in the class, which was cool, because she was almomst done with her report. It was set up with a kind of A to Z format where for each letter of the alphabet they had to find a certain thing about the state. Well, at one point in the afternoon, she showed me her report and let me read it. Of course, it was quite amusing, especially when I got to D for drink. Of course, the state drink of RI is coffee milk, you can't get it anywhere else. She didn't really understand what coffee milk is. She didn't really describe it in the writing, and there was a picture of coffee underneath. I told her what it was and she was like, "ohhhhh, I thought it was milk you put in coffee." Understandable assessment coming from a ten year old (or anyone) who has never been to RI. Anyway, to make a long story short... now I have a WICKED bad craving for coffee milk. But I can't get it out here :(
