(no subject)
So this week I took my state board exam for cosmetology. I passed on the first try. I was pretty happy about this considering I did not do very much practicing AT ALL. I studied the steps a bunch within the week before hand but that was about it. I was also really happy considering out of the 60 or so people who took the test at the same time as I did, less than half of them got their license. I held it in my hands & felt like crying.. but then I high fived this other random girl who just got her license too. I don't know.. it sounds weird but, I've been doing hair for almost a decade now.. & I finally feel legitimate in the hair world. Well, not even just hair either.. because now I feel like I can do anything! I've been taking it pretty easy all weekend since then.
Oona just turned 4. I'm so proud of her. She's big & smart & beautiful. I'm hoping we can figure out a way to get her in kinder by Sept 2010. She's past the cut off so they want to make her wait another year.. which, by all standards, would not be beneficial. I'm also still debating when to stop taking my birth control, since I want to try to get pregnant before the wedding in April but I also don't want a belly.... There is a lot to think about. I just don't want the age gap between Oona & her younger sibling to be any bigger than it already is.
Chris & I went to his cousin's mansion last night for his annual Christmas party. This was a place Chris brought up as a possibility for a wedding/reception venue. I was skeptic but when I saw it I was pleased. Pretty sure we're gonna do it all there. I hope everyone loves it & the layout of everything goes as planned & works well.
Chris is at his friend's show right now. I'm tired but staying up till he gets home. My fingers are cold.. but I figured it was due time for an update on this thing. I'm doing a lot more networking since I finished school. Need to start looking for a job, but I'm so caught up with wedding & honeymoon plans. Considering holding off on the honeymoon.. but not sure. Maybe after new baby? (Fingers crossed) Meh.. I have so much photo editing to do. I'll get back into the rhythm tomorrow :]
