Sophia usually sleeps in her bassinet right next to my side of the bed, but last night we tried co-sleeping. She fell asleep in the car then woke up after we changed her into her pajamas. I tried nursing her, but she wanted to play. We could tell she was exhausted, going between rubbing her eyes and laughing. I laid her down between Shawn and I and we all cuddled. It just felt so natural. Eventually she nursed down and we all drifted off to sleep. Throughout the night she did her normal fussing, but rather than pick her up and lay her across me on the bobby, I just brought her a little closer to nurse. I think we all slept pretty good, except for her waking up at 6:30 when Shawn got out of bed.
Although I never actually thought we would, rather I was very adamant we wouldn't, I can definitely see some benefits to it especially since Sophia has become so clingy at night and never going more than two or three hours between night feedings. To be able to "sleep" through the night with her right there made things so much easier.
I don't know, I'm not ready to commit to anything at this point. We're just going to take it night by night.
