Le Weekend
Hello all of my lovely friends. Here is the update on le weekend.
Friday night, I did a whole bunch of nothing...woo hoo, way to have a life. But whatever...I'm fine with it really. Because Trista and Alecia didn't come down on Sat (I was sad, but it's ok now) I went hunting for the Russell Sims Aquatic center here in good ole BG. It's huge!!! I laid out for about 2.5 hours...got really really burnt, because I didn't reapply sunscreen everywhere, just to my face and shoulders...my belly hurts so bad. But it was really awesome. I got in for about 2 minutes, then everyone had to get out for 30 mins because someone puked or pooped in the pool. They have a big kiddy place so it was probably over there. But the water was kinda cold, so I didn't get back in. It was pretty crowded, but not too bad. There loads of hotties, but they had GFs...of course. There was this one older guy with a little boy, they were both adoreable... they were fun to watch. LOL.
Saturday night was my first night working at Rodes for summer conferences, I worked from 8-10, with a sunburnt belly...it wasn't too fun. And it was really really boring, because just the camp counselors were there, not the kids. It's a SCATS camp, if anyone knows what that is...I think it's gifted students. But I survived. then I came home and went to bed.
Today was pretty exciting, and tiring. My mom, grandma, and my nephew CJ came to visit today. After they looked around the apartment, we went to eat, and did a little shopping, mostly for a lamp, and other random things. We bought a curtain rod to hang my curtain in my room, but no screw driver to p;ut it up with...so that will get done another day. Did buy a cute lamp for the living room though. After they left at about 5:30, I laid down because then my poor red belly didn't hurt so much. Then I set up my table in my room that my mom brought me. Then it was time to get ready for work...and it decided to storm. I mean it poured!!! But it let up just in time for me to leave, but I forgot a snack, but whatever. The campers arrived today, and the lobby was full of them!!! They were all getting ready to leave, it was crazy. Anyone remember Gretchen from Rodes, she's a counselor. Once they left it was kinda creepy because I knew no one else was in that building, and that bothered me a bit...but I survived. There were a few interruptions to the quiet after everyone returned, but nothing major. And so now here I am...burned. OK I'll stop complaining, I know it's my own damn stupidity. : )
I don't have to work until noon tomorrow, then will probably stay til after 5, then work at Rodes from 7-11. OH YAY! Tuesday though, Jess and Rach and her mom are coming!!! YAY FOR REAL!!!! Can I cook dinner for everyone?
So I want to hear about why Maciena quit her job, she better call me or update or something. Well that's all the excitement from my end. Except that work is gonna suck with a burnt belly and 2 year olds crawling all over me...OK I'm done.
