The excitement of hello turns into the heartache of goodbye.
My Mother was with us for just over two weeks and the visit came and went as expected, she left yesterday. It was really nice to have her here and she, I think, enjoyed her time but like anyone traveling was excited to get home. We enjoyed coffee in the morning, chatting, games, shopping, apple picking, movies and snuggles. She got to be at church with us twice and even got to have a pot luck with us last Sunday and meet Erica, who was kind enough to autograph 4 of her books my Mom brought along.
Yesterday Madeline had a friends pot luck and the boys were babysat by Emma so Trev, Mom and I could drive to Minneapolis without them. We walked around Ikea, what a weird store and then we went to Mall of America for a bit. I took her on the FlyOver America ride which she loved and it was so darn fun! Then we drove the 8 minutes to MSP and dropped her off. Thankfully her flight was on time and she got home to Dad safely. I miss her but feeling very grateful for her visit.
