The story of family Ingalls who moves to the "Wild West" in the 19th century and settles in the little town of Walnut Groove.
The series was inspired by the "Little House" book series by Laura Ingalls Wilder in which she tells stories about her lie growing up as well as that of her husband Almanzo.
I remember watching that show with my sister on my grandparents old couch. This was pretty much the first glimpse I got of life in America - I didn´t think they still lived like that, though.
Years later my mum started buying the show on DVD and I sometimes watched some episodes with her - never really managed to see all of them. Now my mum is even reading the books - continuing what she started on Doctor Who (not reading books, improvong her english!)
Somehow Little House was always something I watched coz other people were watching it - and I doubt that I´ll ever sit down to watch the whole thing - but I still kinda like it, especially because it comes with quiet a lot of memories attached.
So yeah, this is the first 100 Things post that is going to be filed under "Shows I watched as a child"...
OMG! I just had a weid deja-vu moment, thinking I already wrote this post and showed it to
crimson_jay_o who then commented on it...weird...
