Back from the 2 awesome days of Awesome - in Berlin!! And I brought so many things home with me: new friends, a newly converted SC fan, an awesome poster (that makes me wish my ceilings weren´t that reakin high) and just great moments in general!
Kat and I left Loyd at 6 and picked up
crimson_jay_o for our epic roadtrip. 5 1/2 hours of talking about everything while drinking nothing but energy drinks (How can 3 girls have 4 different types o energy drink amongst them? *shakes head*), singing along to the radio and saying "So, about the zombie outbreak" a lot...I really love my girls when we get to be all crazy together!
Then it was time to meet Crimsons dad and his new family - her lil sis is just adorable! 1 Minute in and I already wanted to take her back home with me!
We took our time gettin ready and then left, print out of UBahn connection in hand. The second the train left the station however we realized something. No, we were not in the wrong train. we just forgot to pay! We are so used to traveling all around NRW without having to pay (YAY! for student IDs!!) that we just totally forgot. When we talked about it later Kat was like "Well, at first I thought you can pay in the train - and then I just thought that you guys wanted to dodge the fare..." It is clear who is the brains in our opperation...
Thanks to my phone and my awesome navigation skills we only got lost twice on the way from the train station to the venue, where we sat down and Crimson finally got her Schnitzel (earlier that day I made a comment about how this one workmate of mine uses "Schnitzel" as an insult - and Crimson was all like "Oh, a Schnitzel would be awesome right now." It was just past 8am at that time...) We already saw some of the other fans sitting outside, waved to Nic and Peach - and then suddenly Steve and Jonah walked in!! Later Jonah came back up to order two beer - two Hefeweizen to be exact and he sounded so cute pronouncing it - and the barkeep asked him i he´s sitting outside and he was like "No, actually I´m playing downstairs." And then he sneezed - but he didn´t hear my "Bless you" *sad face* Oh yeah, all of this happened while Crimson was checking out the "facilities" (inside joke, I know that´s rude...) and when she came back I was pointing at Jonah and apprently she was thinking "Oh, guy in pullover. Must be an important pullover..."
Then we met Melanie and Anja and talked with them a little bit before I headed downstairs with them to the photo-op. When it was my turn I sat down between the guys the way I always do: letting myself drop. And apparently that made Jonah bounce in his seat *yay* I just hope the pic turned out good...
More waiting then, but now with new friends! Then the Q&A started, with the boys saying if we don´t have any questions they are just going to give random answers. They started with numbers and letter and then suddenly Steve said "Boysenberry!" (favourite berry? favourite chewing-gum flavour? something he has never used in cooking?) and then Jonah chimed in with "Ballonknot" (his favourite type of knot? something he can´t do?) and while Steve was trying to come up with another awesome answer to a question none of us would have ever come up with the real questions started (but a Jeopardy kind of Q&A sounds like an awesome idea.) I don´t remember all the questions but I remember the "dirty whistletip" incident as well as the whole "You better watch out, coz that Rhythm is gonna fuckin get you!" moment. And of course the promise that 2 years rom now we are allowed to ask which song of the new album was inspired by "the most random shit ever" and has a weird hidden meaning. Good times.
Then there was more waiting - and a bathroom break with me and Crimson highjacking the mensroom - No, I don´t wanna wait in line! - and then I wanted to show Melanie how short I am when I´m not wearing my awesome new heeled boots. So I just took them off - and when I turned around Steve was right in front of me, walking through the crowd, looking at the shoes in my hand probably thinking something along the lines of "Craaaaazyyyyy".
Then they started playing and it was awesome as always. Everyone was singing along - well, except the baby I´d guess - the boys were joking and rocking the Uk - and was the "dirty whistletip" moment at this part of the night and not the Q&A??. They played some of my fav songs (I just loooove "Dynamite" and "Strange Way" is now mine&Crimsons song) as well as some awesome covers and a new song that is really good but also let me kinda...depressed.
After the gig came the raffle - and I won sthn. I´ve never won anything in my life so far and when all the things were handed to other people I was once again convinced that I am a lost member of the Winchester family (You know "The only type of luck we have is bad luck") but then they came to the last item. A huge glossy poster of the pic that was on the tickets (You know, the ones I keep refering to as the pretties tickets I have ever seen?) signed by Steve. So I crossed my fingers and then the number 548 was announced - my number!!! I was sooo happy! Now I just have to find the right spot to hang it in my already poster-covered-room.
Crimson and I went to get autographs after that - as well as everyone else, except Kat who borrowed my notebook to scribble down some song-ideas, just like she did in London as well - and while I got "love & thanks" from Steve on my picture Crimson got "All my love" - I kinda hate her (no, I really don´t. I could never.) He also asked her "How are you" and she just floundered. It was so cute. But she managed a "fine" as well as an "I had an awesome time". So yeah, she was really excited after that and I´m pretty sure she´s gonna be there the next time he plays in GER.
To be honest she was just generally amazed. Amazed at how nice the people were, how cosy the concert was, how funny the boys were and how good Steve looks when he´s not all photo-shopped...I´m so glad you had a good time Sweety!!
The next morning we had a lil scare when my golden VIP wristband had dissapeared from my arm. But I found it on the floor, apparently it had slipped off my wrist when I was taking of my jacket.
Way home was not as hyper as the trip the day before, coz everyone was a lil tired. But I still managed to convince Crimson to join me at Con2. (Awesome Grifter is Awesome!!) So we´re prolly gonna book the tix today and use the free time we have coz our Philo Seminar got cancelled...
