goodness. i have been so incredibly busy lately. i can't believe i only have one more week of classes until finals. its insane. this upcoming week is going to be predictably hellish, so this weekend is a nice rest up to prepare for the storm ahead. tonight is the jim bruer concert, which should be fun, and tomorrow i'm taking a trip to hershey park for Candylane (pretty christmas stuff) and rides. should be quite fun. my room is in the holiday spirt- got my mini christmas tree with lights and multi-colored lighted garland draped above the window. oh so festive. i shall take pictures and put them up one of these days. speaking of pictures- i absolutely love my b-day present from amanda: a huge collage of photos from 8th grade on up filled with so many great memories... swim team, sleepovers, freshmen dance, wearing goofy hats on the ski trip, me and jesse playing dress up in amanda's basement, field hockey, oh so many dance decorations... ohmygosh i love it!
i don't want to jinx it- but i may finally be settling into life at ship. this first semester definately had it's shitty moments ((many of which will never, ever be discussed here)) but i have learned from each and every one of them. i think i've managed to pull my grades together quite nicely, and i'm finally starting to make some friends who i see outside of class, and i actually want to see them.
second semester will be much better, i can feel it. it will be a fresh start-- a new first day of school...a second chance at this whole college thing.
