It is hard to believe that his Nibs is almost 6 months old! Took him to get weighed at the baby clinic yesterday. I wanted to check about the weaning issue! All the information suggests that you wait for the "sign of weaning" (feeding more frequently, waking up through the night, etc) before introducing solids. My concern was that he is now almost 24 weeks and quite happy on his formula. He is gaining weight, sleeping through, and only very occasionally emptying his bottle. I know that there is a lower age limit for solids (end of the 17th week) but I wasn't sure if there is a recommended upper limit beyond which I shouldn't delay weaning.
The answer turning out to be "now"
So today I have to try giving him baby rice for the first time. I am sure that it will be fine, but I will be much happier once I have gotten the first attempt out of the way.
