So, I LOVE SUMMER. I have been reflecting on how awesome it has been and it makes me really happy. I love my friends. :) The only thing that sucks is the fact that my parents try to run my life from time to time, but overall it has been pretty awesome. Though Kearney is a great town that gives me a lot of independence and whatnot, there are some experiences in Omaha I just never get while in Kearney. It is so nice to have those.
My birthday, for example. I was upset during my real birthday because it just didn't feel as special as it used to when I was younger and it made me really sad. If that had happened to me in Kearney, I would have just wallowed and cried until I fell asleep and that would have been the end of it. But, I wasn't in Kearney. I was here... and some of the greatest people are here :) Ryan and Keri made my birthday (or technically, the day after, but whatever) all that I wanted it to be... with lots of BALLOONS! And cupcakes! And car paint! It was the sweetest thing ever. I will always remember that as one of the most awesome friend moments of my life.
And the party at Keri's after my bday party was so fun too! Having my friends together with me just to be silly and have a good time was awesome. Everyone got along so well and the games we played and discussions we got into were HILARIOUS. Only my group of friends would be that interesting, hahaha.
Oh, and last wednesday was SUCH a good time. I loved hanging out with Ryan and Keri and talking about whatever came to mind. And when Keri went to bed me and Ryan had some good discussions... XD I swear, I don't know what I would do without that boy. It was a nice night filled with lots of laughs and new inside jokes. It may seem like just a stupid, silly night to some people... but it was really amazing. And I am going to miss Ryan sooo much when he leaves. Especially if we don't beat Paper Mario!
The best thing about summer is having time to do things that are pointless. Time to just sit on a couch with some chips, salsa, orange soda, and popcorn while playing Gamecube. Or time to drive down Bob Boozer and let a million balloons fly out your car windows. Or time to stay up til 4 AM spooning on a leather couch and talking in circles about nothing. :P
Anyways. I am not sure where this is going. I guess I just wanted to express my happiness that I have had so many good experiences this summer and I hope it doesn't stop. <3
