Maux Maux sicky in hospital
Maureen was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes sometime on Mother's Day with a very high sugar level. She was taken to the hospital by her family after not feeling well for a few days. I'm very glad her brother came to her rescue. She has just faced a big bout with her life and could use some support right now.
I just got off the phone with her and she is in good spirits considering the circumstances, saying the hot doctors make her feel like she's watching an episode of Scrubs without the commerical interruptions.
She's learning how to give herself injections and will be learning how to alter her diet in the days to come.
She welcomes calls from wellwishers at 347-684-2294. That is her cell. Chances are she'll be there until Thursday. Maux says, "They can just call, no one wants to come to the damn hospital!" : )
