Either thinking 10 steps ahead, or looking at how far I've climbed. Thinking about what I've left behind, and what lies before me. I can't stand still, I must always push forward and only turnback to remember pitfalls I should avoid.
Sit the fuck down. Don't move. Don't look up. Don't look down. Stop tearing up old wounds, stop digging new graves. Just sit and look at this step. Look at the view from where you sit.
What's the view where you are? Is it sunny? Do you feel a warm breeze? Is it calm?
Why are you always so panicked? You can't predict what will happen. You can't pretend to know. All your history can't tell your future.
Why can't you just relax and enjoy today? Why cant you focus on this hour? This minute? This second!
Isn't it scarier to look so far ahead? How many of your plans will get fucked up by some unknown?
All of your plans have so far. So, maybe you should just sit on this step. Then move when it'll time. You'll know when because you'll be standing on your two feet.
