I know I posted a bit ago about Recruiting being added to my responsibilities, and that I wasn't happy about it. Not sure if someone at work found my LJ or they were just making shit up, but someone told my boss that "someone" in her department doesn't support the change. Now Recruiting is not my first love, and the timing made things difficult, but I need these skills to move forward in my career. If I don't get them here, where I have the support of a really good team that knows what they're doing, I'm going to have a hard time finding another place willing to let me learn.
My poor boss has had a hell of a time with this place. She keeps trying to bring good things to the table; to bring our company up to be an awesome place to work, where employees are kept informed and know what's expected of them and what to expect. Every time she either gets told no outright, or, even worse, is told OK, stalled for months, then told that it doesn't meet our company objectives and she can't do it. Doesn't matter that we've told the entire company about it for months and they're excited for the change and want it.
I can't believe this stuff. It's like someone's writing an HR Nightmare book and we're the characters.
