Winding down from too much celebrating.

First of all, thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes! It was much appreciated.

Today was my birthday celebration with the family at the mothership. Everything was good - the food (my favorite! - mamma's pot roast), the company, the gifts...

There were two things that were exceptional, though. First, my seeester made the best damn birthday cake. EVAR. It was called a "Better Than Sex" cake. I'd have to say that while it was extremely awesome, sex is better. I have the leftovers in the fridge, and I don't think they will survive the night.

Second, my family sang Jingle Bells to me instead of the traditional Happy Birthday song. It RAWKED! I don't know exactly how it got started, but someone started humming or whistling Jingle Bells, then JP started singing Jingle Bell Rock. I made some comment about how cool it would be if they sang Jingle Bells... and they DID! It was like Christmas in July. I think that made today the absolute best of all.

Now my "birthday week" is officially over. Time to get back to real life. Monday, here I come!
