Mack and I were planning on seeing two movies this morning. We did manage to see
Night at the Museum and finally decided
Bridge to Terabithia would have to wait until next weekend.
I LOVED Night at the Museum, despite the fact that I can't stand Ben Stiller and usually don't like any movie he is in. This story had the potential to be so been-there-done-that, and it managed to stay fresh. There were several scenes that pissed me off though, and for a simple, stupid reason: the microphone could plainly be seen in lots of shots. Specifically I remember seeing it in the scene where Larry and Rebecca are walking along the street and also when Larry is sitting on the floor in the library/bookstore reading. *sigh* The overall movie was good enough that stupid microphones didn't ruin the whole thing for me.
Last night I watch the first DVD of
Wonderfalls. I was amazed at how absolutely hilarious it was. I'm sad that it only lasted one season, but I can see how ideas would fizzle out quickly for that kind of show. In the meantime, I'll enjoy what little Wonderfalls goodness there is.
