lazy rainy day and a sick kid
Mack is sick and I don't feel so good myself. At least he's got a fever (103°) that I can point to say "yup, he's sick." As for me, I didn't get out of bed until 3 this afternoon. I only woke up a few times for very quick phone calls, and to get Mack a drink this morning.
Mack got a last minute invitation to a birthday party. The invitation was waiting for him at the day care yesterday, and the party was today at Toys R Us, his favorite place to play. I figured we would wait until the last minute to decide if we'd go, then buy a present at the store when we arrived instead of getting one last night and then not going today for one reason or another. I'm glad I chose to do that. With Mack's fever, we aren't going anywhere today.
Mack took a bath and seems to be feeling a bit better now. I don't like it when he's sick because he's not up and running around and getting into things and pestering me. When he's sick, it's almost like he isn't even here.
