A little pat on the back...

Yesterday at church, I received a card from the nursery director (my boss).  Inside the card was a note from her thanking me for giving my gifts to the church.  There was also a strip of paper inside from Reverend Shane.  It said, "Our new worship director brought their little girl to the nursery for the firt time yesterday.  She had some initial separation anxiety but when the shaving cream hands on interaction came her way, s he was engaged!  Thank you for helping our newest staff member to get a great start by having a great nursery available to his child!  Thank you for the creative ways you are connecting our youngest members to Christ."  I was amazed.  Most everyone thought I was crazy to bring shaving cream in for the kids, but now I am glad I did. :)

After work, we went to a bbq at Kline's house.  Kline is leaving on Wednesday and going to PA.  His 4 year term is up.  I can't believe it's already at that point.  Our friends are getting out.  We only have 12 weeks left here.  Well... I will be here to finish school, but it will be totally different.  It is possible that James will be getting a job in WI and moving right there during the Thanksgiving holiday.  That would mean that I am looking for a place to stay and live from Nov. 27-Dec. 13.  Then Jan. 8-May 5.  That stresses me out (and scares me a little) to be on my own then, but we'll see what happens.
