I got up early with James this morning, and I made him breakfast. This has been the routine since I've been out of school. You would think I'd want to sleep in, but that just hasn't been happening. It's quite alright too because I have been getting a lot of things done around the house.
I worked in the computer room for about 4 hours this morning. I have the closet organized and things packed up for donation. James arrived home for lunch, and then we went out to Fairview to shop so I didn't get much accomplished this afternoon. I sorted through some paperwork, but that was about it. I have to dust, vacuum, and fold clothes tomorrow.
We went to Lowe's to buy some PVC pipe for James. One of his assignments is to build a musical instrument, so he is making PCV pipe drum things. It's going to be really cool when they are all finished. When I attended UW-Marinette my music class did a performance with "Boom Tubes." They are the large PVC pipes with caps on the bottoms, and when you bang them on the floor they make a loud "boom" sound. It was really awesome. I never was musically inclined, but that was easy. :)
Then we went to Old Navy. James wanted to get a new shirt to wear to the DJ Tiesto concert this weekend. He is going to Chicago while I make my way to MI with Sarah after my MK party. So he found a brown polo that looks uber sexy on him. Then he bought 2 other pairs of shorts. I got 2 for $5 flip flops and a skirt for Saturday. Now I just need to find a top to go with it. I tried on a pretty tank top but it made me look frumpy. The other tank was too long and scrunched in my midsection making me look chunky. I might need to go to Target tomorrow to find something appropriate.
Once we got home, James went for an 18-mile bike ride, and I started reading my new book for Bible study. It's I'm Not Wonder Woman, But God Made Me Wonderful. I really like it so far, and I skipped ahead to read the chapter about exercise. It's kind of general in that chapter, but I understand it's not a diet/exercise book. :)
We had stirfry for dinner, and we danced around the kitchen while I was doing dishes. We really are silly sometimes. Then he measured the PVC pipes, and I planted my herbs into a big pot on the back patio. I hope they grow. I have the worse luck with herbs.
James took his PVC pipes to the woodworking place on base so he could cut them, and he dropped me off so I could run home. It really wasn't that far, but I'm trying to stay consistent first. Someday maybe I won't be a YO YO exerciser. I hate that.
Now I need to get into the garage and organize my Girl Scout stuff. I'm turning it in tomorrow, and I'll be done. Whew. :)
