Kids at play
M in her new Regency outfit at Dickens, playing tag. She was exhausted and pushing herself to keep playing, as you can see. The Spenser is blue cotton twill, with blue silk satin piping. I based loosely it off a child's Spenser from "Costumes in Detail," moving the tail to the back and screwing up the collar completely. Looks good, just not what I was going for.
The dress is made from spotted lawn curtains from Target. I winged it, making it really big and relying on draw strings. The bonnet is a hand me down, which will probably not fit much longer. She loved wearing it, and kept coming back for me to re-tie it. You can see her adjusting it a few times in the video.
