So I've been living with my mother for the past three weeks while I'm doing my practicum in Ottawa, and today we got into a huge fight.  Because she was overreacting yet again about something that didn't truly concern her.  She's just upset that I neglected to mention a few things about an event that was none of her business and doesn't actually ( Read more... )

So, not only did I survive my first week at practicum, I made it through the second one as well.  I also taught a week's worth of lessons and managed to engage most of the students most of the time.  There's just so much to think about while up at the front of the classroom, so not too shabby for the first time.  Go me!

So, I got back to Canada on Sunday evening and spent some time with my sister and my mother.  Which was nice, because I hadn't seen them since Christmas.  And I spent the next two days in Ottawa with them and with other family and was cut off from LJ land because my mom's internet decided to take a vacation.  Took the bus to Kingston yesterday and ( Read more... )

So, for my B.Ed in September, I was mostly looking at two schools: Queen's University and University of Ottawa.  I've officially heard back from both, after submitting my applications at the end of November.  Good gods, the wait was interminable!

So I've been in Ottawa for three full days now, and have spent time at my mother's place, my sister's house, and with my aunt and uncle. Basically, I'm trying to spread my time around so that I don't get too sick of anyone but also so that no one thinks I'm avoiding them specifically. It's quite a bit harder than one would think.
