First off, what the hell kind of writer's block is that??
I personally think that is a hilarious question. Now to the business of answering it:
A world without Star Trek would be a world where the final frontier has gone un -explored, where Tribbles don't warn against the evils of unprotected sex and where Scotty can't get you out of a sticky situation with glittery water.
It would, indeed, be a sad world. There would probably not be conventions as we know them, since it's all those crazy trekkies (have you hugged one today? You should.) that started that trend. And we would have a world devoid of Galaxy Quest, and that would indeed be the true tragedy. So, that's my too-long answer to a question that literally had my arms waving in the air in disbelief.
