Audio version of Hiatus by
Debbiel66 is complete! Woot! OMG guys this was soooo much fun! Thank you to Debbie for once again allowing me to record one of her stories. If you all hadn't of guessed, I really like Debbie's stories. LOL
Changing Channels wasn’t my favourite episodes of the season. I appreciated it more the second time through but it didn’t quite have the charm of Mystery spot.
Hiatus has what they should have done with Changing Channels.
This story was just beautifully written.
Sam is drowning in guilt and self-loathing, can’t trust his own instincts and can’t forgive himself for when he did and it backfired with Ruby…he makes my heart break.
And Dean is Dean, or at least a Dean that is equal parts the Dean we know and love but also a grown up Dean that went through Hell and is hurting as bad as Sam is right now... so a Dean trying to enjoy life where he can but you can tell there is a distance between the boys even though Dean still looks out for Sammy, he’d never not look after Sammy.
Parts of this story killed me I was laughing so hard, of course I used to watch all these old westerns so I really appreciated the humour in this story. And parts of this killed me a different way cos the boys make me ache for them, they hurt so much.
Honestly I had a blast recording this it was so much fun drawling my way through the old time western show talk. LOL the first few sentences where it’s from changing channels I tried to stumble through like Sam did but really I don’t think that worked as well as I wanted. Still fun though.
Go here to read (cos really I can never do it the justice reading it does)-
