December to-do list: Sims Edition

Nov 29, 2011 04:06

I know December doesn't technically start until Thursday, but what the hey. :P
  1. Garden of Shadows Secret Santa gift. I have no idea what I'm going to make and as I told a few people, I am really nervous about it due to the prestigiousness of the person I have to make for. Should probably try to come up with at least one idea before the end of the week. I definitely need to have the gift completed for the 22nd, because life will be insane in the week following.
  2. Publish Royal Purple chapter 2. I have it written. I just need to shoot the scenes for it. Which requires a whole other to-do list in itself. Not posting it here, wouldn't want to reveal anymore spoilers than I already have. ;) But having that written down somewhere for all to see will make more apt to keep to that commitment.
  3. Finish writing chapter 3. Which is proving to be difficult. If I keep it how it is now, I can throw the whole short story idea out the window - this is going to be a much longer story that I had first anticipated.
  4. Finish reading STHWC. Which has been on my ever-growing to-read list for about a year now. :P (Speaking of which, it's been over a year since I 'returned' to the community. :D ).
Real-life wise, I have again, a ton of stuff to do. The Youth group we started at my church is going strong - two weeks ago we had nine kids. Last week we were down to six, but it was almost just as well, as we started working out the details for our Christmas play. We aren't doing anything traditional, but rather a modified/extended version of this skit. I get to play one of the Inkeeper's daughters. The Inkeeper will be played by a 13-year-old, so that'll be fun! :P Also, my little sister is coming to Canada for Christmas, and she'll be arriving on the 14th. I've almost finished the paperwork for University, which starts at the end of February. Right now I'm looking at 14 hours of classes per week, which, TBH, isn't as much as I was expecting. Mondays are my least favourite days.

In a lot of ways, I'm looking forward to moving back to Sydney. This year has been quite boring and mundane as my life has consisted of Sims and SubWay, with Church on Sundays. I'm not meaning to complain, as I have had way more time to sim this year than I will in the future, but I want to be busy again. I'm not looking forward to leaving my Mom and brother here, but I am looking forward to getting to spend more time with my sister. I'm not looking forward to meeting my Dad's new partner, and I'm not terribly thrilled about having to face him again, either. I'm excited to see my cousins again. Maddie will be almost three, and Brodie's almost 5. Also, hopefully Jonno will have found a girlfriend, and Liss will be a published author. I'm not looking forward to dealing with living there minus Auntie Rhonda. I mentioned to Miranda that I'll have to have lectures on Monday evenings, so would the family consider changing Monday night family dinner to Tuesday night, and she kinda shrugged and went "We don't really do family dinner much anymore." I almost cried!

Anyways, I just thought I'd throw those last two paragraphs in there for those of you who care. I'm going to go to bed now, because it's really late. Borderline really early, actually.
