Where to start? I know it's been a couple weeks since I posted last. And just to give fair warnignt it's going to be another couple of weeks until I post again after this. On Wednesday I start basketball camp and I'm working camps basically until my family comes to Columbia on the 24th. Busy busy...no suprise there though.
So I've been back in Cola a week now. Pensacola was nice, got to go to Carla's wedding which was fun and got to spend some time w/ family which if you know me is always fabulous! Then mom and I went down to S. Florida to see Shanna and Jason and await anxiously for Miss Ashlie Nicole to make her grand appearance. Be basically spent the week shopping and preparing and finally on Friday, May 27th Ashlie was born at 12:54 pm. She weighed 9 lbs. 9 ounces....big baby! She is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! All Shanna could say is, "Jenni, I just love her so much!" I was the sweetest thing. Of course we are all completely smitten. So I got to stay there for a few days, until Sunday when I had to drive back to Cola for class on Monday morning. It was heart breaking to leave my family....I miss them so much already! I can't believe I ever thought I could leave Florida for good w/ out a backwards glance!
Since being back I've had class everyday for 2 hours..."History and Philosophy of Sport and Physical Education," it's not quiet as boring as it sounds, but it's pushing it. So as I said I have camp coming up on Wed. My first camp is likely going to be just a day camp, unless one of hte teams signs up to stay in the dorms (fingers crossed that doesn't happen!). So Wed-Saturday I have team basketball camp like 12 hours a day for a frikkin $75 a day. Then Sun-Thursday I have overnight individual camp where I actually have to stay in the dorms w/ the campers and coaches....only girl, that should be interesting! Then the next Sunday I start band camp. That's right I said band camp. It's a pretty easy gig, except of course that this too is an overngiht camp. It's all indoors and basically I'm just there to dispense meds and make sure no one gets hurt from doing anything stupid. Then finally on the 24th my family is coming to see me. And by family I mean basically 1/2 of the McCormick clan. Some 13 people...not counting my lil bro who we'll see on Sunday when we go rafting! Yeah buddy...can't hardly wait!!
Gotta lot of stuff to do and figure out between now and the end of the month. Like what the situation is at my high school as far as football camp, when am I going to find time to write the stupid "-ism" paper for class, and what am I supposed to do w/ the increased attention I've been getting lately from guys (not that I'm complaining mind you...just new for me!).
Ok back to being lazy. Hopefully this post will be enough to get you through the next few weeks. If not there is always this thing called a cell phone...I promise talking to me personally is so much better than just reading my journal..think about it! Love yas!
