It's Thursday
Hello,
I really want to to say thank you again to everyone who has posted to me. You are all so sweet.
I am recuperating. Lars continues to be soooo great, patient and sweet and just helping me do everything. I can now open the car door, the door to our house and pick up a gallon jug and pour it with the aide of my hip and a neat lever action. I have watched quite a few movies and my lovely friend Catherine sent me A Tale of Two Cities on CD so my brain doesn't turn to mush.
We've been strangely busy since this happened. I've been on the phone a lot and even went to my class on Monday night but I just could deal with going to my class last night, Wednesday, though we did drop off my homework and stopped by a few friends' houses. The injuries are settling in and healing but I'm more black and blue, swollen and tired than I was when I first came home.
Thanks so much for your notes. It's been kind of like being invited to my own funeral but I get to live. The support from everyone has really helped us deal and has gotten us the support of the LAPD. Again, I am so lucky to still be here walking around and chatting on the internet. I hope to be biking again in the future, in fact it's really hard to imagine if I couldn't be. I'll have to wait and see what the future holds.
