Last Saturday, I delivered this wedding cake to Tulsa from Stillwater, using Donovan's Dodge Durango to transport the layers. Had I been more prepared/cognizant, I would have taken some progress photos. However, what you see is the finished product.
This cake took 1.5 days to make and bake the cake layers, 1 entire day (9am-1am) to make the icing and give the layers several coats of icing. It took 2.5 hours to set it up and decorate where it is a finished product. Certainly a labor of love, but when you see the cake at the end, it is all worth the work.
In March or April, I cannot recall which, I made a wedding cake for my cousin, Amie, whose hands you see in the photo. Her maid of honor, Allison, called me up after Amie's wedding, to solicit my skills in making her cake. I learned a few lessons doing this one, that I should have charged her double what I did. LIVE AND LEARN! However, the experience was a good one.
