NaNoWriMo day 26
Congratulations to two of my NaNo friends, monkeybard and jaunthie!! They have both passed 50,000 words and are NaNo Winners!!! WOOHOOO!!!! The spa day today was well deserved!!
Me? I'm at 20,006 words for the month. I'm not going to win this time. But I might make 30,000 before the end of the month and that's pretty cool. Hell, I'm excited about breaking 20,000!
Ya see, this is the first time I've ever tried making a word count under a deadline. I never thought I could do it. Trying for a daily word count stressed me out too much. But this year I decided to jump in and give it a shot. And I learned a lot about myself in the process.
I can just sit down and write a couple of thousand words in a couple of hours. Writing in a public place really does help me focus. Writing with friends is fun. Writing with friends in a pub is even more fun. *g*
And there are still four days left of the month. Final word count will be posted before I go to bed on Sunday night.
Thank you, ladies, for dragging me into this bizarre literary experiment! I think I might do it again next year!
