Risley does the Gradhouse vol 6 million
So Last week was the last of classes. The Christ. Honestly, I don't think it could've come fast enough.
So Wednesday, a bunch of people are going out to the Gradhouse. I decide to go, "for one beer". Well that one beer turned to one pitcher. And that one pitcher tunred into one gloriously drunken evening.
There was a good chunk of people there that night, so that was really cool. It was mostly people from my floor, but all the good people :) So we're all chillaxing up on the top floor of the gradhouse. A group of legal and underaged Risley students, taking over, the only way to go. There's a piano on that floor. There happened to be a lot of musically inclined people there. So some people make their way over to this brassly out of tune piano.
This piano has cup stains and chips missing from it, a lot of character, its really cool to see. Its too bad they don't invest in someone to tune that thing, cuz it would be really great.
Anyway, so we're playing, laughing, it actually really reminded me of a western saloon, for indescribable reasons - but it did.
Then..............THIS WONDERFUL MAN WALKED IN!!
He sat down at the piano and he began to play. No one is really paying that much attention because, as of now, the top floor is not just filled with Risley students. So I'm at a table chatting away, then I hear "have you ever seen the Rain" by CCR. So they guy starts singing and without even thinking about it, I JOINED IN! Then super drunk Reece realizes what song it is as the chorus come on, so he starts singing...then everyone clues in and we've got the whole bloody top floor of the gradhouse singing a little CCR with this guys. Wow...he was beautiful.
So this went on for a while, I really don't know, as I have no concept of time. Then I had to leave because Craig Smith stole my key...but that is irrelevant. So I chase Craig Smith out of the gradhouse, realize what is happening, fall to my knees and start laughing uncontrollably (after I got my key back). It was a pretty warm night, so I park myself between the Gradhouse and Risely, on the grass by the picnic tables. I'm nicely sprawled out when Becky and Rachel come running because thy think that I've passed out - meanwhile I'm laughing and having a wonderful time.
So I stayed there for a while then Becky made me come inside.
Tonight we're going back to the Gradhouse, for vol 6 million and 1. Hopefully just as eventful.
