After years of giving superior customer service to other communication companies, why have BT now outsourced their call centres and begun being vastly worse than all their competitors. And more importantly why am I still being forced to deal with them even though I don't have a BT phone!? Yes, yesterday I received another bill from them, for that BT phone line I don't have... *sigh*. After nearly 2 hours (1 hour and 51 minutes I believe) trying to get through to someone that could actually speak good enough English to understand what I was saying I gave up, almost in tears, I imagine it'll be another couple of hours later on in the week before I manage to even scratch the surface of sorting this out. Luckily I kept all the notes I made from calling them to sort this out in August, if I can just get through to someone to tell them too. FUCKERS.
Aside from that and various other minor annoyances (Scarecrow stuff, Damage stuff, landlords, radiators... the usual), I'm in a pretty good mood. I love wintery mornings and the lead up to Christmas, I don't care what all you Bah Humbug people say! My tree will go up next Monday and there will be twinklyness around :)
I went to see Machine Head on Friday and they were AWESOME, then I went to see Skid Row on Saturday and they were AWESOME (not Sebastian Bach level Awesome, but still Awesome). I got really drunk, danced like a fool and stayed up too late talking about music. The kind of weekend I had quite a lot of a few years ago, I must make more effort to go out on Saturday nights!
Both the gigs this weekend restored my faith in Metal/Rock audiences, it was great to be somewhere with such a great atmosphere, and general respect for other gig goers on both occasions, the wonder of older crowds I suppose. Both bands played sets for the crowd rather than themselves which I also appreciated a lot, high energy and classic songs throughout, just what I needed to banish my disillusionment with the whole thing.
