Author: JenJM (me)
Pairing: Gabe/William, Mikey/William, Pete/Patrick, Brendon/Ryan, Jon/Spencer and many a few others.
Rating: NC-17 overall
Characters: Gabe Saporta, William Beckett, Pete Wentz, Patrick Stump, Mikey Way, others. Pretty much everyone from Cobras, Academy, FOB and MCR. Plus Maja Ivarsson of The Sounds, and I can tell you Green Day will appear somewhere along the way.
Word count: 96,000 total words
Warnings: language, blood, violence, killings, all the stuff you can find in a story where people kill vampires and vice versa. But these vampires have sense of humor.
Disclaimer: Gabe and William aren’t mine ç_ç they belong to each other themselves. Actually no one in here belongs to me, and it’s so sad.
I really don’t mean to offend anyone and nothing of what I wrote in this story is to be considered real, it’s all fiction.
Author’s Notes: Pete being a vampire and hunting others vampires is kinda taken from FOB’s video for “Sixteen candles”, all the other stuff is a product of my twisted mind.
Title from Cobra Starship’s “Prostitution is the world’s oldest profession (And I, dear Madame, am a professional)”.
As ever, feel free to report any mistake. Constructive criticism is welcome, feedback makes me happy!

Chapter 15

“Bill, you okay?” Pete asked with a concerned frown, while William stood slowly, not saying a word as he showed the necklace to Pete. “What the hell?”

“What’s going on?” Ryland reached them and frowned when Pete closed his fist around the pendant, his face hardening.

“Mikey’s necklace.” Pete just said, putting it in his pocket.

“You’re sure?” Jon arched an eyebrow, visibly surprised.

“I gave it to him the day I turned him.” Pete looked away with an unreadable expression, causing Ryland’s frown to deepen.

“You mean that…” Ryan pointed at the dust on the floor. “…could be Mikey Way?”

“No.” Pete shook his head, glancing at the rests. “That’s not his scent.”

“So what, he killed Ray’s hacker?” Mike asked, not convinced. “Why would he do something like that? I mean…isn’t that against their neutrality shit or something?”

“Maybe he was trying to stop him without letting Gerard know.” Pete shrugged, looking around at the messed room.

“Or maybe he was trying to cover up his traces.” William finally raised his gaze from the floor and looked up at Pete, his tone slightly angry.

“What do you mean?”

“He means that maybe Mikey’s the one who told Ray how to break in.” Mike replied for him, raising an eyebrow.

“He had the chance to study our defenses.” William added, his eyes locking with Pete’s surprised ones.

“He’d never do something like that.” Pete’s tone was slightly annoyed and Gabe saw him hold back a bitter reply.

“You sure about that?” William tilted his head to the side, his voice filled with challenge.

“Yeah, well, you seemed sure enough when you spread your legs for him whenever he asked, like a good little slut, didn’t you?”

William stared at Pete, his mouth slightly open in utter shock. He couldn’t believe he’d heard those words come from Pete, from his boss, from the one that had basically raised him since he’d been nothing more than a scared kid.

Before he could say anything he felt Gabe move, and the next thing he saw was his boyfriend pinning Pete against the wall. The shorter vampire shoved Gabe away and hit him on the jaw, causing him to withdraw a couple of steps.

“Quit it. Both of you.” William said, his voice unexpectedly calm and icy. “We’re here to work.” He turned towards Ryan, while the group in the room looked at him in clear surprise. “Ryan, take everything that might be useful from those computers. If there’s the slightest chance to recover any kind of data, take it.”

Ryan nodded and headed towards the smashed machines, followed by Cassie, who offered quietly to help him. Without any other word William turned and headed upstairs, leaving the group behind.

He saw out of the corner of his eye that Gabe was following him, but he didn’t stop, fighting back the tears as he swung the door open and shivering when the cold air hit him.

Nate was standing a few feet away, his back against the side of one of the vans. He looked up and cocked the gun, then relaxed again when he saw it wasn’t an enemy. With a little nod to the other hunter, William walked past the vans and crossed the street. In front of the building he’d just exited there was an old, wrecked playground, and the boy walked straight to that, seeing one of the swing still in one piece.

William heard the door open again and Nate asking if everything was okay, but ignored it, trying to clear his head, trying to make the pain in his chest cease.

“Bill.”

“Leave me alone, Gabe.” William’s hands closed on the rusty chains that supported the swing. “Please.”

Gabe stopped a few feet from the boy, watching him push with his feet on the ground and kick a stone. “Pete didn’t mean those words.”

“Why are you defending him?” William looked up, his expression halfway between confused and angry, and Gabe saw the tears in his eyes.

“Because he loves you.” Gabe showed a little sad smile, taking a few steps towards his boyfriend.

“Not when Mikey’s involved.” William chuckled unhappily, looking down again. “And really, I feel so damn pathetic right now. ‘Cause Pete is Mikey’s fucking Sire, and I’m just what? Some pathetic little kid he pulled from the street.”

“Hey. Look at me.” Gabe replied, his hands stopping the little movements of the swing, causing William to look up. “You’re not pathetic, and you’re not just some kid.”

“It’s funny to hear that from you.” William raised an eyebrow, but his tone wasn’t bitter, and Gabe let a smile curl the corners of his mouth. “But I’m here crying over a bunch of words like a little girl. That’s pathetic.”

“Stop using the word pathetic.” Gabe raised an eyebrow, his hand reaching William’s face and gently moving a strand of hair behind his ear. “You’re not.” He smiled at the boy, his thumb tracing William’s jaw. “Pete loves you, with or without the bond between him and Mikey.”

William didn’t reply this time, surprised by Gabe’s convinced tone and tender gesture. With a little smile he took the vampire’s hand in his and entwined their fingers.

“The worse part of all this is that it hurts so much.” William eventually said, not looking at Gabe. “All this time he’s been using me, and I knew it…but it hurts anyway.”

“I know.” Gabe squeezed William’s hand in his own. “But don’t give up on this. I mean, I don’t exactly like Mikey, but maybe there’s a good reason why he killed the hacker.”

William looked up at him, a little smile curving his lips as he stood slowly.

“I really wanna kiss you.” The hunter realized he’d said it out loud and chuckled to himself. The vampire could feel William was still upset, but he took his sentence as a good sign.

“Nate’s pretending not to look at us, but he’s watching.” Gabe informed, a little smile on his lips.

“Let him watch.” William tilted his head to the side, nibbling at Gabe’s lower lip.

“Mmh, kinky.” Gabe muttered against William’s mouth, gaining a soft slap on his arm, right before William deepened the kiss.

They heard the door open and close a few seconds later, and they parted and turned in time to see Ryland bringing a box, probably containing the hard disks from the smashed computers.

“Let’s get back to work.” William sighed, his hand slowly leaving Gabe’s cold one as they both headed for the building.

~~

“Pete Wentz.” Frank looked at Pete from the doorstep of the big house he shared with Gerard, both his eyebrows raised.

“Frank Iero.” Pete replied with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

“What are you doing here?” Frank leaned against the doorframe, crossing his arms on his chest.

“Are you gonna let me in or what?” Pete frowned, surprised by Frank’s behavior.

“Actually, it’s not a good idea.” Gerard reached the doorstep as well, a little smirk curving his lips. “Frankie, d’you mind keeping an eye on our guests?”

Frank just nodded and addressed Pete one last glance before disappearing in the house, Gerard taking his place.

“What’s going on?” Pete narrowed his eyes, doing his best to catch some kind of familiar or suspicious scent on Gerard, but failing.

“We’re quite busy. Did you need something?” Gerard raised an eyebrow, his expression unreadable.

“Yeah. Where the fuck is Mikey?” Pete’s tone changed, and Gerard seemed surprised.

“Haven’t seen him since we left Chicago.” The taller vampire shrugged, ignoring Pete’s annoyance. “I guess he’s still around there.”

“Right.” Pete chuckled, shaking his head and turning. “I’ll find him myself, thanks.”

Gerard looked at the vampire as he walked away, a little grin stretching his lips.

One day later

During the whole drive home William and Pete hadn’t talked to each other, ignoring the worried glances they received from the others. Mike had tried to talk to William, but the boy had just shook his head, making it clear he wasn’t talking about it. Minutes later he’d fallen asleep with his head on Gabe’s shoulder.

As soon as they got home William greeted his friends, then went upstairs in his room, ignoring Maja and Sisky’s worried glances. Gabe didn’t follow immediately, knowing William needed some time alone to calm down.

“What’s going on?” Patrick asked, frowning when he saw Pete hesitate.

“Mikey Way killed Ray’s hacker.” Gabe informed, knowing well it was going to piss Pete off. “And we have no clue whether he did it to help us, or ‘cause he’s trying to get us all deady-dead.”

“Shut up, Saporta.” Pete growled, his eyes furious as he felt Patrick tense beside him. “I’ll figure it out.”

Without another word Pete headed upstairs, under the group’s surprised eyes.

“What’s the matter with him and Bill?” Sisky asked, shaking his head.

“Pete can be a real jerk.” Ryan muttered, starting to walk upstairs with the large box in his hands.

Everyone turned to Gabe with questioning looks, but the vampire shook his head, his expression blank. “It’s their own business. Go back to whatever you were doing.”

Patrick nodded silently when the others looked at him, surprised. Slowly they walked in different directions, while Gabe headed upstairs, not looking back. He reached William’s room and opened the door, seeing the boy lying down on the bed, his eyes focused on the ceiling.

“Don’t say it.” William muttered without looking at Gabe. “I just need to be alone right now.”

Gabe watched him for a few seconds, feeling the urge to hold William tight and tell him everything was going to be fine. But the boy wasn’t going to let him get close, he knew it, so he simply nodded. “Okay.” Gabe whispered, backing out of the room and closing the door slowly.

~~

“You need to consider that it’s possible Mikey isn’t as good as you think he is.” Patrick said in a quiet tone. Mikey had always been a tough subject, and the werewolf knew the latest news just made it worse.

“I know Mikey.” Pete didn’t turn to look at his boyfriend. “He’d never turn his back on me.”

“Then why didn’t he say anything?” Patrick asked, feeling a fit of the same old jealousy coming back. “He could have warned you the moment he found out about the hacker.”

“I’m sure he has good reasons.” Pete kept his tone flat, but he couldn’t hide the edge of rage in it.

“Or maybe you’re wrong and he’s gonna help Bryar and Butcher too.” Patrick took a step towards the vampire, determined to face him on the subject once and for all.

“You’d be damn happy about it, wouldn’t you?” Pete turned abruptly, his expression angry. “It’d be your victory on him.”

“It’s not a challenge, Pete.” Patrick shook his head, incredulous. “It’s about being realistic.”

“Well, you don’t know what it’s like to be that close to someone. You don’t have a fucking clue on the bond between us.” Pete snapped, his voice raising.

“Right, I don’t. After all I’m not the one who left his family, his pack and all his friends behind just to be with you, am I?” Patrick’s voice was low and bitter, showing all the hurt that was throbbing in his chest at his mate’s words. “But how can I understand a connection made by blood, when all I have is a stupid, useless bond based on love?”

Pete’s face fell as he heard his lover’s voice tremble slightly on the last word. “Trick, I…” The vampire tried to say, but Patrick shook his head, stopping him.

“Don’t call me like that.” Patrick turned and headed for the door. “Just fucking make up your mind and figure out who you want as your mate.”

Patrick slammed the door on his way out, and Pete felt like it had been shut right on his face.

~~

Gabe entered the library, convinced to find it empty. Instead, he was met with the sight of Patrick sitting near the fireplace, watching the flame with half-closed eyes. He turned to look at the vampire as soon as Gabe took a step inside.

“Hey.” Patrick offered with a weak smile, his eyes returning to the fire.

“Hey?” Gabe asked, dumbfounded by the werewolf’s behavior. “Not that I mind you being the nice and kind counterpart to that jerk of your boyfriend, Stump, but…you’re supposed to hate me.”

Patrick chuckled at that, turning again to look at Gabe. “I don’t.”

“Why?” Gabe asked, sitting down in front of him, growing more confused every minute.

“I know it wasn’t you.” Patrick looked at him in the eye, sadness and calm balancing in that gaze.

“It was me.” Gabe retorted, his expression darkening. “It doesn’t matter who did it, the fault was mine.”

“The idea wasn’t, though.” Patrick tilted his head slightly to the side. When Gabe didn’t reply, he smiled sadly. “You started to change long before that.”

“No, what made me change was what that son of a bitch did to you.” Gabe’s head snapped up, his eyes wide and sure.

“I know who you were before.” Patrick raised an eyebrow, shaking his head slowly. “Something like that wouldn’t have touched you if you were the old Gabe Saporta.” A little smirk tugged at his lips. “I mean, people are still scared out of their skulls when they hear your name.”

“Yeah, I’ve heard about it.” Gabe admitted with a soft laugh. For a few seconds neither of them talked, then curiosity won the vampire over and he looked at Patrick again. “How d’you know it wasn’t me?”

“I have my reliable sources.” Patrick looked at the flame as he talked, his tone calm and almost relaxed. “But no one seems to know who did it. Or they’re too scared to tell me.”

“Then stop digging.” Gabe shook his head, leaning forwards and resting his elbows on his knees. “If you want to blame someone, blame me.”

“Who is it?” Patrick frowned, surprised by the vampire’s stubbornness. “Who are you trying to protect?”

“Stop digging, Patrick.” Gabe looked away, his voice low and almost pained.

“I can’t.” The werewolf didn’t take his eyes off Gabe, wondering who was that special to him that the vampire kept hiding them despite the guilt.

“I know.” Gabe looked up with a sad smile and a slow nod, then his expression changed, becoming serious once again. “Can I ask you a favor?”

“What?”

“It’s Bill, he…” Gabe stopped, taking a deep breath. “What Pete said to him back in Jersey hurt him more than he’ll admit. I don’t know how to fix that, I don’t think I can.”

“I’ll go talk to him.” Patrick seemed a little surprised. “Ryan told me about that. And also how you tried to beat the shit out of Pete.” Patrick saw Gabe flinch at the memory and showed a little smile. “Thanks for caring about Bill.”

“He deserves it.” Gabe smiled back at him, standing slowly and heading for the door.

“Gabe.” Patrick saw the vampire turn to look at him from the doorstep. “It feels oddly good, doesn’t it?”

“What?” Gabe frowned, amused by the werewolf’s now wide smile.

“To be in love.”

“I don’t fall in love easily.” Gabe raised an eyebrow, surprised.

“That’s why it feels so good when you do.” Patrick looked back at the fireplace, then stood slowly, reaching the doorstep as well. “I’ll go talk to William. You can have the couch.”

Gabe watched the werewolf walk past him and up the stairs without another word, and chuckled to himself.

~

Patrick was about to knock on William’s door when Pete appeared next to him.

“I love you.” Pete said before Patrick could stop him. “I love you more than my own life, more than anything else in this world.” He looked at the werewolf in the eye, seeing the surprise there. “And I swear I’d cut my tongue off if that helped to make you feel better, ‘cause I’m a fucking moron and I didn’t mean a single word I said to you earlier.”

“I know you didn’t.” Patrick showed a little smile, his hand stroking Pete’s cheek. “I guess now you know it too.”

“I’m sorry, Trick.” Pete whispered, closing his eyes. “I love you.”

“I love you too, you freakin’ madcap.” Patrick brought his hand down and tilted his head to the side. “But you’ll have to wait now, ‘cause I’m trying to fix the mess your stupid tongue caused.”

“I’ll go talk to him.” Pete nodded slowly, his fingers closing on the handle.

“We both go.” Patrick smiled, his hand rising once again. “But just to be fair…” Without warning he slapped Pete’s cheek, and flinched slightly at the loud sound his fingers produced. “That’s for yelling at me.”

Pete winced and massaged his skin with his free hand, shocked. With a grin Patrick pushed the door open, seeing William sitting on the bed, a book resting on his crossed legs.

“Mom, dad.” William looked at Patrick first, then at Pete, his tone filled with sarcasm. Then he moved his gaze back to the book again.

“Bill, look, I --” Pete started, walking closer as he talked.

“I don’t care. It’s okay. Go talk to Mikey instead.” William snapped, not letting Pete finish.

“Bill, just listen to me.” The vampire took the book and put it aside, his free hand grabbing William’s chin and forcing him to look up. “I’m sorry for how I treated you. And for being a stubborn prick.” Pete moved the hand away, but William kept looking at him, waiting for something else. “You’ve probably been closer than me to Mikey in the past years, and not only ‘cause of the sex.”

“I don’t know him as well as you do, but apparently I can be more objective.” William’s tone was less bitter, and Patrick sat on the bed next to Pete. “Even if it hurts like hell to know he could be the one who sold us to Ray.”

“I know.” Pete nodded slowly, looking down and taking a deep breath. “The moment I turned Mikey, I felt like I was giving all of myself to him. And in a way, I did. But he didn’t want to be turned for me, he had other aims, and that’s why I never turned anyone else.” William saw him tense slightly and Patrick bite on his lip. “Thinking that he might have betrayed me like this…it made me freak out.”

“Pete.” William said softly, feeling overwhelmed by the mess of emotions he’d been feeling in the previous days. “We’re okay.”

“You’re like a brother to me, Bill.” Pete brought his hand to William’s cheek, pinching it playfully. "My skinny, crazy, little brother."

William showed a little smile at that, shaking his head slowly. Then suddenly his palm collided with Pete’s cheek, the slap leaving the vampire dumbfounded. “That’s for calling me a slut in front of everyone, big brother.”

“I think I deserved this too.” Pete massaged the skin again, seeing Patrick bite on his lip to stop a grin. “After all you’re my skinny, crazy, little brother who has a soft spot for vampires and a nasty biting kink, aren’t you?”

“Shut up!” William reached for his pillow and hit Pete with that, blushing.

Pete stood and avoided his blows, laughing as Patrick got caught in the middle and ended up with the pillow on his face.

“Okay, kids, it’s time to go to bed.” Patrick stood quickly, laughing as well. “And you’d better go retrieve your boyfriend. Vampire or not, he’s gonna freeze his ass off if he sleeps on the couch.”

“I’ll go get him.” William closed the book and stood slowly, while Pete opened the door. “But seriously, Trick…madcap?”

“It’s a nice word, I like it.” Patrick grinned and shrugged, reaching Pete in the corridor. “By the way, don’t call me mom ever again.” William laughed at that and nodded, closing the door behind them and walking towards the stairs. “I’m serious, Beckett.”

“Okay, mom.”

“That’s it. You’re grounded.” Patrick turned and started to walk towards his room, quickly followed by a snickering Pete. William laughed again as he walked downstairs, heading for the library.

He opened the door and saw Gabe sitting by the fire, a thoughtful expression on his face. Without a word William reached the vampire and sat down next to him, a little smile still stretching his lips.

“I’m sorry I’ve been such a wussy, lately.” William whispered, resting his head against Gabe’s shoulder.

“Lately?” Gabe arched an eyebrow, grinning.

“Fuck off!” William laughed, slapping Gabe on the arm and faking offence. “I was thinking about offering you a warm bed with premium benefits, but I think I changed my mind.”

“Premium benefits, uh?” Gabe turned his head and placed a kiss on William’s jaw. “Such as?”

“Mind-blowing blowjobs, amazing sex…all things you won’t get.” William grinned back at him, laughing when he saw Gabe pout. “Too late.”

For a few seconds they didn’t talk, then Gabe turned and placed a soft kiss on the corner of William’s mouth. “It’s good to see you smile.”

William turned and saw the relief in the vampire’s eyes. “I think this just granted you access to the warm bed. But no premium benefits.”

Gabe nuzzled at William’s neck, half-lying against the boy. “Is there a way I can make it up to you?”

“I’d go for some cuddling, if you don’t mind.” William giggled and tried to get free.

“No way, Gabe Saporta doesn’t do cuddles.” Gabe grinned against the hunter’s neck, nibbling at his Adam’s apple. “But maybe I can do an exception for you.”

“Let’s go to bed, dork.” William finally managed to escape, standing slowly.

~~

Three days later

William opened his eyes abruptly, hearing the alarms go off in the whole house. After the Ray accident, Maja had added a few of her magic tricks to the house’s defenses, so that they couldn’t be hacked again.

Gabe was spooned up against William’s back, and he woke as well, his hand immediately going for the gun on the nightstand.

“It’s the gate.” William muttered, getting out of bed with a curse. It was three in the morning and he and Gabe had fallen asleep barely an hour before, exhausted from the training and the sex.

They quickly retrieved their pants, and shoes, but when the second alarm went off, signaling the intruder was getting closer to the house, William just grabbed the first thing he could find and headed down stairs, quickly followed by a bare-chested Gabe, their guns ready.

Pete walked past them, glancing at their outfit and biting back a grin. When they reached the hall, the alarms ceased and they all found their sheltered spot to be ready and take the intruder by surprise.

Someone started to work on the lock, making a quick job of unlocking it, and the door opened slowly. A shadow entered and closed the door right after, and William almost jumped, recognizing it. He turned on the light and Mikey looked around, not really surprised.

“I guess you learned the lesson, then.” Mikey grinned, seeing the hunters come out from their positions, addressing him wary looks. “Sunshine, it’s been a wh--”

Mikey hadn’t expected William’s move, so when the hunter’s fist collided with his jaw, it left him speechless.

“What the fuck was that for?” He brought his hand up, his eyes finding William’s angry ones, then he noticed William’s clothes. The boy was wearing Gabe’s purple hoodie, the front unzipped and showing his naked chest, a series of hickeys visible on the pale skin. “Oh, did I interrupt something?”

“Fuck off.”

Pete reached them and placed his hand on William’s shoulder, calming and reassuring him. His eyes went immediately to Mikey’s suspicious ones.

“We need to talk, Mikey.”

~~

A/N: Remember when I said “bitchslapping”? Well, I meant Patrick physically slapping some sense into Pete. *nods* And William doing pretty much the same.
And yep, that’s all you’re gonna know about the PetePatrickGabe thing. *grins* And yep again, Mikey’s not in a very good situation.

Now, a little something I have to warn you about. I won’t be posting this story on
slashatthediscoanymore.
They signaled me I have to change the dialogue grammar and put the comas instead of points. And it would actually be more correct in English to write like that, but:
a) I’m still fighting with the idea that a coma is a short pause, and if I wanted a short pause I would use it. The point is a longer pause, which is what I want. So yeah, I’m struggling to adapt. It’s one of the limitation of writing in a language that isn’t my first language, alas!
b) I really don’t want to change something like that now, in the middle of the story, especially considering that it’s just linked in the community and not posted there. My personal writing style won’t include comas for now, and that’s also why all my stories are in my personal journal. (I’ll put the coma thing in the warnings. LOL) And if any other community is bothered by the lack of comas or the presence of points, they can tell me and I won’t post there anymore, until I manage to adjust.

Just to make sure I made myself clear, I respect
slashatthedisco’s position, everyone has the right to set their own rules in their community. Since I’m peacefully and friendly disagreeing (for this story, not on the whole comas thing), I won’t post the story there.
No fight, no problem, no grudge. I’ll still avidly read the stories there and link the community to other people. I just wanted to explain why I’m not posting there anymore.
And I’ll probably post other stories there when I manage to get over this thing. LOL

Anyway, you’ll find updates of this on
slashypunkboys,
fobvampirehunt
cobraslashship, and of course
gabilliam.

Okay, I’m done. LOL
See you soon, people! ;)JM
