Why am I awake -_-;
Part of the problem with my nights off is that I invariably get immediate cabin fever and end up enjoying my usual pastime--napping :p --because, as much as I feel I should be doing things, with nothing open and nobody awake, my habits inevitably return me to Neopets... and I'd like to think just a little bit that I can do better than play games on that all night... 9_9 [this includes the whole shop restocking crap when game limits have been reached]
...not that sleeping is necessarily better than playing NeoJank, but I was tired and disinterested. I had very much enjoyed my first crab dinner in at least a couple of years now, a treat from the Muggs, but it made me horribly unable to stay fully conscious through viewing Nausicaa. As such, I ended up napping after it was over, and I kept napping even after Charles went to bed :/ He's already scolded me about upsetting my schedule in this fashion, but--I reiterate--there's limited activity I can do during quiet hours. [If the Wal-Mart was at least 24-7, I could do minor shopping, but it does the 7-11 crap.] About all I feel remotely motivated to do, it seems, is clean, and that's limited in as far as what I can move where [I prefer to avoid going in the bedroom and disrupting Charles] and whether I can vacuum/do laundry [can't until well into daylight].
I did quietly clean out the gerbil cages, which very much needed it, and fixed the tubing so it actually did join all three openings without needing extra pieces... a bit unfortunately, because I wanted to buy more tubes, but after checking bank stuff*, I really ought to hold off on that. Jade Knight and Lord British went to the playpen in the meantime, though when I let them meet, Jade Knight started the fight. Yes, she did it, because I took Lord British up and she was still hanging on. Luckily, girls aren't as vicious as boys [generally], something with which I have an unfortunate bit of experience :p as our first gerbil's father** decided to try a chunk out of my right hand once [the skin between my thumb and index finger]... I can safely rule out ever letting them play again, however :/ despite how much I know they each need a proper grooming, best given to each other. I don't really want to seek out two more gerbils, though.
*Speaking of bank stuff, I had ordered a check card tied into my online checking account [as opposed to the regular one], since the regular checking is the only one I can use to pay for things at Sam's Club, but the last Sam's Club purchases ended up being charged to the regular, putting me at under the minimum X( which is really pissing me off. I seriously need to get rid of the regular account and free up that $750 minimum, but they seem to keep finding ways to require me to keep it--which thus makes the online account worthless, no matter how preferable.
**Our first gerbil was Nutsy [my name--a bit naff, in retrospect], from one of the litters from Bonnie and Clyde, the 6th grade Science class's pets. We kept them over the Spring Break, and Clyde decided I wasn't being delicate enough with him or something and let me know it. Boy, did he latch on. I could have let go of him, and he would've dangled there for the several minutes he kept a hold on me.
Um, stuff.
So, since I apparently am HUMAN after all and have a shit ton more energy during daylight hours, I finished
this picture.
This is why. :/ Then again, a lot of why I prolly don't delve more into any individual image may be a result of this kind of thing going on. Certainly I've been guilty of doing the same to others in the past, but that's undoubtedly part of the collective Guilt perpetually looming over my head -_- like the nightmares I still have about my gerbils dying horrible, gruesome deaths :( [but then, we don't really outgrow nightmares, do we? ...well, except the lucky ones who don't dream... lucky]
I finished Fara, though, because I've been subject to having had someone 'finish' something for me, with irritating results :/ For instance, a three-parter about the afterlife... I couldn't exactly work out the final part to my satisfaction in time, and said person chose to invoke his own will over the direction it was going and make a third part without my intervention. This, in fact, destroyed the point of the triad entirely [not to mention miscredited a character I had used]. Most of my subsequent motivation to finish it actually came from that interruption, to 'fix' the damage, but failure to have it conclude successfully made laziness win out in the end. Yet another undilluted grudge, unfortunately.
Stuff again.
Long post.
