2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I had planned to make the *monthly* resolution to buy/put money toward something I had enjoyed for free prior to that, but I lost track after the first couple of months. No doubt I *technically* kept that resolution, if only through Patreon, but the goal was to do it for different things (spread it around).
My new one will be to FINISH SOMETHING every day. This seems lofty, but it can be as simple as finding a place for that thing I didn't know where to put itYAY I'LL PUT IT HERE I'M DONE
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Co-worker's was last year... I remember b/c he invited us (co-workers) to a first birthday party when we (C and I) were going to be away at MAGFest.

C's bro will be 2017 unless she spontaneously goes into labour in the next day-ish.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
DESPITE THE SWATHS OF CELEBRITY DEATHS... only ashuraou's mom, and we weren't too close (she remembered C as "the guy who blows his nose").

They've threatened to send me to India, which would be... new? Not excited about them advertising it as 120 degrees year-round! =p

9. What was your biggest failure?
No doubt there's something that's slipped my mind for what reason (including that a year is a LONG TIME to remember every little thing that's happened in it), but something job-related, I suppose. I mean, I got a camera ticket last month for a rolling stop to turn right on red, and I feel like I should've contested it if only to put in a complaint that there was no VIDEO vs. the two easily-faked digital photographs, but I got sick and that took all the fight out of me. I wouldn't consider that a failure, though--I really was going to stop... just a few feet farther than the camera decided I should.
OH I remember now, not sure how I could forget... we had a MAJOR audit at work (like, the feds came in!), and basically the whole thing was mismanaged from top to bottom. Sure, most of it was not my fault, since I am but one person and the errors were compounded over multiple years before I joined even as a temp, but we were still responsible for it all.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I still have that chronic cough, aggravated by each time I keep getting strep throat (a biannual thing now!?!?)... I mean, it might've been something else last month, since I gave up and assumed it was the usual, so I didn't waste time at the clinic again. Also, I've had a canker sore for FIVE MONTHS now, which is FANTASTIC >_<
I guess to append my answer to the last question, I STILL have not found a primary doctor out of sheer laziness, which is a phenomenally bad idea, but it looks like we'll have all our health care revoked anyway, so it doesn't matter!

...true, it's not the BEST house, since it's located in the worst parking situation EVAR (each house gets one reserved space, and any other vehicles have to fight for the free ones), but it's a sweet-ass house, all other things considered, and what else can really compare =p

I. happier or sadder? Sadder, despite HOUSE, because... the surroundings are pretty bleak =|
II. thinner or fatter? tbh idk because, though I've been getting out more on account of Pokémon Go and Ingress, I stand STOCK STILL most of the time in order to get the "GPS" to work (there's not actually a GPS in my iPad--buddy is amazed that I can play at ALL) ...I do now have gym access through work to try to get back into a regular routine, though
III. richer or poorer? Rich...ish? I mean, I didn't get a raise (and at this point I'm not sure how, since my assessment was "has no room for improvement" = C = neither bad nor good), and our mortgage + all other payments are less than or equal to the payments we were making at the apartment... I have no real way to measure w/o going over every single little thing I/we bought, and that's not worth doing.
ON THAT NOTE I admit I'm not doing the gender equality gap any favours by my lackadaisical attitude toward finances--as long as I'm earning enough that I can pay my bills and not have to run a fine-toothed comb over my bank account, I don't really think about what I spend. I just don't have my heart set on cutthroat tactics to earn more money for the sake of statistics.

Without falling back to the old "Everybody" standby... old schoolmate of mine was visiting D.C. for (literally) a few days, but they were days I was working, she + hubby were staying an hour-ish away, and traffic was garbage until late at night. Sucks, but I don't know how it could've been better (idk what they were doing during the day/evening and didn't want to contort everyone's schedules just to meet for a half-hour-ish)
I mean, I saw *some* of my classmates at the reunion this year, but tbh I don't think I'll go to another. (Hope none of my classmates are reading this, but don't take it personally--I just find myself drained by the trip now, though the timing of it in the middle of a major audit at work didn't help.)

Edit: OH YEAHHHHHHH I should acknowledge Jeff, the agent who helped us with the house... finding it wasn't so much the issue, but definitely teaching us about stuff we wouldn't have known about. It's funny, because we only met him because he was filling in for another agent and kinda poached her would-be sale...
Then again, after the sale closed, he up and vanished w/o another word, so... idk
(still helped us out, though, since the owners would've prolly gone with a higher offer had he not talked them into taking ours b/c we didn't have any loan restrictions)
