4550: Into The Grey

So Falco's confirmed that two employees will be let go shortly as well, plus two more contractors whose terms are just going to lapse... I think they originally would have been with the "Good" Friday group otherwise, but if there really wasn't a reason not to stagger them, then why not stagger them [thank fuck].

She let me know which ones are on the chopping block, too--and that's kinda hard, since I have to keep a straight face when one of them complains about this and that now that open enrollment is here and Corporate changed insurance providers [not gonna matter shortly here, is it?]. One of the employees, I have no opinion whether that person goes since we're in completely opposite ends of the [however smallish] building and I have no reason to go that way, but the other had JUST converted from a contractor... ugh, shadows of Caketown =(

The weird thing is apparently Pigeon fought bitterly to keep one contractor who has had like a billion issues with other employees/contractors. Falco complained about having to bring "Fighty" into her office for countless interpersonal problems, that she doesn't understand why Pigeon likes Fighty so much when Fighty has zero ability to motivate others or follow up with ideas or whatever other things people were complaining about.

I dunno! I was supposedly hired to scan, and I've done exponentially less of that in the past odd months =p Some of that is from being frustrated with Miss Priss and her haphazard ways--again, I can't blame her for simply not having certain capacities [I wouldn't laugh at a colourblind person for failing to tell red/green apart, as much as it would frustrate me], but IT IS SO FRUSTRATING when she prints out half of her e-mails, maybe reads others, deletes one or two that may or may not be important, then comes back later and prints out more of the e-mails she printed before but didn't delete or otherwise mark as already printed... oh, and NEVER empties her deleted e-mails )=| Little things like that! I just arghsadhghashglkhdgkhdgkhlklsllslskkkkk

...

So, I pulled up a bunch of wild onions out of the front yard! They're ridiculously condensed and widespread--they're everywhere, but pick up a clump correctly, and it comes up pretty much like a turnip in Super Mario Bros. 2 [Super Mario USA]. I hate them, and I want the front yard to look a little less overgrown if we're gonna be spending another year here [we are]. So far, I've pulled up some of the deader-looking brush... now I have to figure out what to put there instead to make it less dug-up-looking if the flower seeds I planted a coupla weeks ago don't start sprouting =/

GAH even the potted seeds I've started indoors haven't done anything! Either I have a red thumb [completely opposite a green thumb] or I totally got cheated on these seeds... >_<

DOOM

...

*shrug* As for terminations, I've been through this dance so many times now that it really kinda "runs off my back like a duck." Miss Priss said she didn't want to sit at the front desk in case people needed boxes to clean out their desks, but "that's part of the job" [declares Falco]--I half-offered to sit up front instead since I'd be a little more of a good sport about it, but I really didn't feel like doing the checklists up there. Not to mention she complains about how slow her computer in the office is, which is why she's normally up there.

Oh well. Nothing to do but keep going.

[speaking of, maybe I should get on drawing again \=| MAYBE]
