So after thinking about
this, I got nostalgic about
The Oregon Trail in all its awfulness [though things like
Snooper Troopers make it look like Final Fucking Fantasy], and I stumbled over an iPhone app of it D=
It looks hella nerfed from the demo [yay $.34 balance--I got shit to do!], but I guess that's to be expected with a "casual gamer" update. Anyone throwing down a dollar for a game wants something beatable, I think is the stereotype =p [I dunno, I liked the nigh-unbeatable Tap Defense or whatever it was, though not sure what happened to my copy [was it my other account? [eh, no time to worry, I got shit to do]]]
Also, I get they do that for "you can tell who's left in the party" reasons, but it seems moronic to me to RUN BESIDE THE WAGON.
I should note that I've beaten the game multiple times, despite Dan remarking to me that it's rated as something like the #2 hardest game of all time [not eager to verify this claim--I GOT SHIT TO DO], but never on Farmer--Carpenter is actually the easiest for scoring, with the 2x bonus and ability to make repairs, but I'd really have to play it again to tell for certain. So, if anyone would like to get me a huge swath of time for my birthday... ¬_¬
