4224: The Fish Man's Dance

Really quick, 'cause my eyes hurt and I'd rather finish today's sketch* then attack one of Hanger Games and/or Color Cross and get those the fuck out of the way.

*Actually, I did one last night for tomorrow, but I'm hesitant to post it because it's for an an "abandonware" theme week, meaning relinquishing rights to that sketch. I know what I'm doing, as the content is stuff I've had but have NEVER thought of something to do with it in the 5-10, sometimes 20 years I've had it, and there's just no salvaging it, so why not let someone else have a go. Still, I worry that someone will take that as "Oh, so EVERYTHING you do is now public domain! Cool!"

NO.

Welcome to the Internet. Ruining it for everybody even before it starts.

ANYWAY PICSHURS:

Taken: Hibachi Sushi Supreme Buffet, where we ate last night [and gorged mightily, as did Katniss in above-mentioned book, so maybe it's life imitating art [except I hope no one selects me at random for a fight to the death for the amusement of people who are so insulated from the consequences of life as to not value anything, really]].

[[[I dunno, I'm just really hung up on trying to figure this book out--it's like it's trying to show the worst of society by showing its best...? But not really because it's dystopian? I'm very confused for reasons I don't understand, because it seems straightforward and there's some forest I'm missing for the trees.]]]

It is, in fact, a buffet with sushi, but hardly sushi alone. I guess there's a marginally higher selection and quality than at Yuraku or wherever that was with the lunch buffet, but it's kind of not nearly as much as I'd expected given that "sushi" is in the restaurant's name, I mean. Pretty decent buffet, though, given buffets.

foody, booky, photoy, adebuh?, psychologically
