3717: Girls Just Wanna Have Lunch
Today was our company's [finance dept.'s] Christmas HolidayLUNCHTIME luncheon, and since no one else could decide where to go, Mrs. Fris had suggested we eat at this place Rockafellas--after some travel drama [sadly, while Mickey was no Drama Llama compared to PHB, she's still a bit of a drama magnet].
Started out okay... sauces on the menu XD
So we ended up ordering like FIVE appetizers =p and, since we filled up on THOSE [or, I did], I ended up taking home half my buffalo burger:
And since, screw it, the company's tab, I had a chocolate milkshake as well after HR got a piña colada [though sent it back twice, 'cause apparently they put grenadine in it and she hated that].
Overall: C =p Mumble got the ribs I had thought about ordering, but he said they were awful. The peeps who ordered crab cake sliders hated those, and Usurper hated her fish & chips. The mixed drinks [Usurper said, "I don't care!" to whisperings of ordering drinks at all] were disliked by all who ordered them, and the service was pretty awful for our party being pretty much the only people there.
But the entertainment was great:

I liked my meal, especially since it was free, but the side effect was the Itis and not getting my core job function completed early enough to get home for this week's Lenny Conundrum =/ but... I had no idea what the answer was, anyway, so answering in the first ten was a moot point. Chars liked the half-burger + chips + fries I brought home, at least, so bonus free meal.
The temp agency that Mickey and I came through visited us, also, and gave us travel mugs. Mickey said, "Isn't that nice? We don't even work there anymore, and they're still giving us stuff!" Even if it's branded, okay sure. There's something else about Mickey that I found out today, but I'd sooner not repeat it, even anonymously... rather depressing, though it explains some of the drama, maybe.
Wish I could share the AUI computer game they gave us all at the party =p but they don't seem to have posted it live yet. We'll see... it's some kind of convoluted Bejewelled/Aurora Feint thingus, but with chocolate [natch]
