3682: Resignation
So I've asked for time off, my first request since starting at AUI, and I half expect Boomer's usual crack about it [link: last letter, which is depressing for what it is]. The phrase he's fond of is, "So-and-so has/had the audacity to take a vacation!"
My prepared response is, "I haven't taken a day off since I started in APRIL, and I've been here more days than YOU have!" [started in March] I'm vaguely not sure of the validity of that statement, though, since he would claim he was working from home then... BUT STILL.
Anyway, WOO, I'm taking off the 30th, partly because I have to use that time or lose it, and partly because I'm resigned to not finishing this year's Nano book =/ and if I'm going to take vacation, it might as well fucking be in November!
